Hillside platforms
Residential blocks sit on terraces carved into the slope, so the estate rises in steps and the access roads curve between the levels.

Tsz Ching Estate Map Poster & Print
Tsz Ching Estate is a public housing estate in Tsz Wan Shan, in the Wong Tai Sin District of Kowloon. From above, it is a group of large residential towers set on platforms cut into the hillside, connected by paths, stairways and winding access roads. The slope, not a grid, dictates the layout, so the blocks step upward in tiers toward the hills behind.
The estate is part of a wider cluster of housing on Tsz Wan Shan, and the map captures how densely people live on this steep ground. To the north, the green ridges that separate Kowloon from Sha Tin rise abruptly. They leave an empty band on the print that contrasts sharply with the concentrated building footprints below.
A Tsz Ching Estate map poster speaks to people who grew up in these towers, a common Hong Kong story, and to former residents who have since moved across the city or abroad. It frames a very specific corner of Kowloon, reducing the lifts, stairs and slopes of home to a clear graphic plan.
