Vauréal Map Poster & Print
Vauréal is a commune in the Val-d'Oise, north-west of Paris, and part of the Cergy-Pontoise new town. It sits on a plateau above a wide loop of the Oise river. From above, it shows the typical layout of French new-town planning, with curving residential streets, cul-de-sacs, and neighbourhoods separated by green spaces and footpaths.
A small older village core survives inside this newer fabric, and its lanes are easy to pick out. To the east, the land falls toward the Oise and the lakes and leisure areas in the river loop. Fields remain to the west, marking the edge of the built-up area of greater Paris.
A Vauréal map poster shows an ordered, calm kind of suburb. The looping streets form rounded patterns, the green corridors create breathing space between them, and the curve of the Oise adds one strong, sweeping line on the edge of the composition.

The Oise loop
The river bends broadly below the plateau. Its curve, together with the lakes in the loop, defines the eastern side of the map.
The old village
A small core of older lanes remains inside the modern town, giving it a finer, more irregular texture among the planned streets.
