Villeneuve-le-Roi lies in the Val-de-Marne, a few kilometres south of Paris, on the left bank of the Seine. Its map is shaped by two strong edges: the river curving along the eastern side, and Paris-Orly Airport, whose grounds extend across the western part of the commune. Between them lies a compact spread of residential streets and small houses.
