Wenzhou Map Poster & Print
Wenzhou lies in the south of Zhejiang province, where the Ou River widens toward the East China Sea. The old city grew up on the southern bank, and on a map the river forms a long, strong edge along the north side of the urban area. Hills surround the plain, so the city spreads east toward the coast rather than far inland.
In the river itself sits Jiangxin Island, a narrow islet long known for its twin pagodas and gardens, reached by ferry from the city. South of the river, the older districts are threaded with canals and small watercourses, while newer districts extend east with broader roads and larger blocks toward the port and the estuary.
Wenzhou is well known in China for its private enterprise and for merchants who have built businesses across the world, which is part of why so many of its people live far from home. A Wenzhou map poster keeps the river edge, the island and the surrounding hills in a single frame, simple enough to read from across a room.

Jiangxin Island
A small, elongated island in mid-river, with a pagoda at either end, appears as a compact shape in open water just off the old city.
Canal network
Small canals and streams run through the older districts south of the river, breaking the blocks into irregular pieces and adding fine lines to the map.
