Wodonga Map Poster & Print
Wodonga lies in northeastern Victoria, just south of the Murray River, which forms the border with New South Wales. Its twin city, Albury, sits on the opposite bank, and together they form a single urban area split by a state line. On the map, the Murray's wide, wandering floodplain separates the two, a band of wetlands, lagoons and river channels.
Wodonga's centre is laid out along the main roads leading towards the river crossing, with residential suburbs spreading south and east into gently rolling country. The Hume Freeway passes through on its way between Melbourne and Sydney, and the surrounding hills frame the town on its southern and eastern sides.
Lake Hume, one of the largest reservoirs in the country, lies a short drive upstream on the Murray. A Wodonga map poster captures the particular geography of a border town, where the river is both a natural feature and a political line, and where the city on the other bank is always part of the picture.

Twin-city setting
Albury lies within easy reach across the river, and a map of the area shows two cities facing each other over a state border, linked by roads across the floodplain.
Hume Freeway
The freeway linking Melbourne and Sydney passes through town as a strong, deliberate line, cutting across the finer pattern of suburban streets.
