Terraced tower platforms
Residential blocks stand on levelled platforms cut into the slope, which gives the estate a stepped, layered look when seen from above.

Yiu Tung Estate Map Poster & Print
Yiu Tung Estate is a public housing estate in Shau Kei Wan, in the Eastern District of Hong Kong Island. From above it looks like a cluster of tall residential blocks on terraced ground, where the city meets the steep, wooded hills. Access roads curve up from the flatter streets below and wrap around the building platforms.
This is Hong Kong at its most typical: many people housed on a small footprint, with the hillside pushing the built area into a narrow band. Below the estate, Shau Kei Wan's streets and the MTR line run toward the waterfront. Above it, the map turns to open green contours with hardly any lines.
A Yiu Tung Estate map poster captures how a housing estate shapes its own small district. The towers read as compact geometric footprints, the looping roads trace the gradient, and the edge between the dense urban grid and the empty hillside is drawn very clearly. It works as a detailed, local portrait of one corner of Hong Kong Island.

Switchback access roads
Estate roads climb from Shau Kei Wan in tight curves. On the map they form a knot of bends that contrasts with the straighter streets below.
Hillside boundary
Directly behind the estate the built area stops and steep country takes over, leaving a clear line between the housing and the open green slopes.

Many bar bolan karta
For people who grew up in these blocks or still live there, a map of the estate is a very personal piece of Hong Kong. It records a home address at a scale that bigger city maps leave out, and it looks as good in a small flat as in a new home abroad.
