Contour-following streets
Roads curve with the hills, forming loops and crescents across the district. On the poster these read as a fine, flowing web of lines, set apart from the grids of flatter cities.

Al Jubayhah lies in the northern part of Amman, where the city spreads over a series of hills and valleys. From above, its streets rarely run straight for long. They follow the contours, looping around rises and dropping into dips, so the map shows a dense, softly curving pattern rather than a regular grid.
The district is mostly residential, built up with the pale stone apartment buildings typical of Amman. It sits close to the University of Jordan, whose large campus of academic buildings and open grounds is a major presence in this part of the city. Main roads link Al Jubayhah to central Amman and to the northern suburbs.
An Al Jubayhah map poster captures a side of Amman that visitors often miss: everyday neighbourhoods rather than the ancient citadel and downtown. The winding streets and the looser spaces around the campus make a composition with steady rhythm. It feels personal and local, not like a tourist overview of the capital.
Roads curve with the hills, forming loops and crescents across the district. On the poster these read as a fine, flowing web of lines, set apart from the grids of flatter cities.
The University of Jordan's campus is nearby, and its broad grounds and scattered buildings stand out as a looser, more open block beside the dense residential streets.
Al Jubayhah is one of the neighbourhoods spread across Amman's northern hills. Arterial roads trace the valleys between them, and the built-up blocks fill the higher ground.

Aiheā Al Jubayhah
Many people know Al Jubayhah as a place to live, study or raise a family rather than a place to visit. A map of its streets marks that everyday connection: a first flat near the university, a parents' home, a childhood neighbourhood in Amman.
