Ar Rifā‘, usually called Riffa, lies in the centre of Bahrain's main island, away from the coastline that shapes most of the country's other towns. It is one of Bahrain's largest cities and is divided into East Riffa and West Riffa. On the map these read as two separate clusters of streets joined by main highways.
The city sits on higher ground at the edge of the island's central depression, and this inland setting gives it a different character from the waterfront districts of Manama. Streets are organised into residential blocks and villa compounds with wide roads between them. Large areas of open desert and green space surround the edges.
Riffa Fort, built in the nineteenth century, overlooks a valley from the edge of East Riffa, and the south of the city includes a golf course and newer planned districts. An Ar Rifā‘ map poster sets these elements side by side: the fort, the grid of neighbourhoods and the broad highways, against the open terrain of the island's interior.
The city's two main parts appear as separate clusters of streets, each with its own centre, connected by highways that cross the open ground between them.
The nineteenth-century fort stands on high ground in East Riffa, overlooking a valley. It is one of the oldest landmarks in the city.
Residential blocks and villa compounds form regular patterns of streets across the higher ground, framed by wide roads and open desert.

Riffa is home to many Bahraini families and long-term residents, and its quieter, inland character inspires loyalty. A map poster of the city shows familiar neighbourhoods and roads, a personal piece for a home or a gift for someone who has moved abroad.
Adjust the title, subtitle and coordinates line to include a name, an address or a date, and choose one of five styles: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. Download the HD files for $9 or order a printed poster with an optional wooden frame.
