Araguaína is the largest city in northern Tocantins and an important regional centre in the transition zone between the Cerrado savanna and the Amazon. It grew rapidly after the construction of the Belém–Brasília highway, which runs through the city and gives its map a strong north–south spine, with broad avenues and regular neighbourhoods spreading out on either side.
The city is known across Brazil as a centre of cattle ranching and meat processing, often called the capital of the fat ox, and it serves a wide surrounding area with commerce, health care and universities. Small rivers and streams cross the urban area, adding a few winding lines to the otherwise planned layout.
An Araguaína map poster shows a young, expanding city: generous blocks, straight roads and new districts reaching into the countryside. The contrast between the dense centre and the more open edges gives the design a sense of growth. It suits people who built their lives here and those who left for other parts of Brazil but keep the city in mind.
The national highway runs through the city as its main axis, a long straight line that shaped the growth of Araguaína and still organises its map.
Wide streets and regular rectangular blocks spread outward from the centre, a clear pattern typical of cities that grew quickly in the late twentieth century.
Several small watercourses cross the city, their curving lines and green margins breaking up the grid at intervals and giving the composition a softer, more natural rhythm.

Aiheā Araguaína
Araguaína is a city many people moved to for work and opportunity, and it quickly became home. A map poster marks that connection, whether for a family house, a first business or the years spent studying in the city.
Personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates line with a name, a date or a phrase that matters to you. Choose Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand, and receive HD files for $9 or a printed poster with an optional wooden frame.
