Shipyard coastline
Large shipbuilding yards line parts of the shore, with slipways, docks and long sheds drawn as bold rectangles against the strait. They give Balamban's coast an unusually strong, engineered outline.

Balamban faces the Tañon Strait on the western coast of Cebu Island. The town centre sits on a narrow coastal plain with its streets laid out close to the shore, and behind it the land climbs quickly into the island's mountainous spine. From above, the municipality looks like a thin strip of settlement pressed between the sea and the ridges.
Balamban is widely known for shipbuilding, and large shipyards occupy stretches of the coast, visible on the map as broad industrial footprints beside the water. The Transcentral Highway winds from here across the mountains toward Cebu City. The uplands include Mount Manunggal, where President Ramon Magsaysay died in a plane crash in 1957.
A Balamban map poster brings these layers together: the dense streets of the poblacion, the hard geometry of the shipyards and the switchbacks of the highway climbing inland. In black and white the coastline becomes a clean edge and the mountain roads read like handwriting. The result is a print that is both industrial and scenic.
Large shipbuilding yards line parts of the shore, with slipways, docks and long sheds drawn as bold rectangles against the strait. They give Balamban's coast an unusually strong, engineered outline.
The highway to Cebu City leaves the coast and twists up through the mountains in a series of tight curves. On the poster it is the most expressive line in the frame.
The sea along the western side of the map stays open and calm, so the shoreline reads as one continuous boundary that holds the town, the yards and the coastal road together.
