Bandar Seri Alam is one of the planned townships that have grown on the eastern side of Johor Bahru, in the corridor toward the industrial port town of Pasir Gudang. It was laid out as a whole rather than growing street by street, and the map makes this obvious. Broad main roads divide the area into neighbourhoods, and within each one the residential streets bend and loop in regular patterns.
The town is largely residential, with rows of terraced and semi-detached housing, shop-lot blocks along the main roads, schools and local parks. Like much of southern Johor, it sits within easy reach of Singapore across the Strait of Johor, and many residents commute to jobs in Johor Bahru, the port or the industrial estates nearby.
Seen from above, the pattern is tidy and repetitive in a pleasant way: parallel rows of houses, rounded ends where streets close, and green spaces set between neighbourhoods. A Bandar Seri Alam map poster turns that planned geometry into a clean graphic, with each street reduced to a thin line and the overall design of the township left to speak for itself.
Inside each neighbourhood, housing streets run in close parallel rows and curve into loops and dead ends, creating a fine, repeating texture that fills most of the township's area.
Wider roads divide the town into distinct precincts and link it to the highways running toward Johor Bahru and Pasir Gudang, giving the map a clear framework.
Parks, playing fields and undeveloped land appear as open areas between housing blocks, making the edges of the planned neighbourhoods easy to see.
