Bang Pakong sits where the Bang Pakong River reaches the upper Gulf of Thailand, in Chachoengsao province east of Bangkok. From above, the river is the main shape: it winds broadly through low, flat land before it widens into its estuary. Canals, fish ponds and field boundaries cut the surroundings into thin, regular pieces, and the coastline shows as a soft, uneven edge.
The Bang Na–Trat corridor crosses the district, and its elevated expressway, one of the longest road viaducts in the region, draws a firm straight line across the curving water. Along it you can see the district's industrial side, including the large power station near the river mouth, set beside older riverside settlement that follows the banks rather than any grid.
A Bang Pakong map poster keeps that contrast between engineered straight lines and a river that bends however it likes. The estuary is also known for sightings of Irrawaddy dolphins, which suits a place defined by where fresh water meets the sea. In black and white, the waterways and the expressway carry the whole composition.

The Bang Na–Trat expressway crosses the district on a long viaduct, drawing a straight line that stands out against the curving river and water-cut fields.
Fish ponds and irrigation channels split the flat land into small rectangles, so the ground beside the river reads as a fine, tiled pattern.
