Burleson lies just south of Fort Worth on the rolling North Texas prairie and stretches across two counties, Johnson and Tarrant. On a map, the old core is small and gridded, laid out along a railway line. Around it, the newer subdivisions spread outward in the loops and cul-de-sacs typical of recent growth.
The town began in the early 1880s as a stop on the Missouri–Kansas–Texas Railroad. It was named after Rufus Columbus Burleson, a Baptist minister and educator who once led Baylor University. The original grid of Old Town is still visible near the tracks. Interstate 35W now runs north–south through the city, a wide band that carries much of the traffic between Fort Worth and Central Texas.
A Burleson map poster shows the contrast between those two layers. The straight early streets sit near the rail line, and the curving residential patterns grow around them. Scattered ponds and creek corridors break up the suburban texture. In a restrained monochrome design, the town reads as a clear example of how Texas railroad settlements turned into commuter cities.
The historic centre keeps its compact block pattern beside the railway, the oldest and most regular part of the city's street layout.
The interstate cuts north–south through Burleson and connects it with Fort Worth. On the map it appears as a strong, continuous line with interchanges spaced along it.
Newer neighbourhoods spread out in loops and cul-de-sacs, a softer and more organic pattern than the rectilinear streets at the centre.

Aiheā Burleson
A map of Burleson makes sense for a family that bought its first house here or a couple who settled south of the city. It is also a good gift for someone who remembers Old Town before the subdivisions grew around it. The poster stays simple enough to suit almost any room.
Personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates line with a name, an address or a move-in date, and pick Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. The digital HD files cost $9 and cover six print sizes.
