Cagnes-sur-Mer lies on the Côte d'Azur between Nice and Antibes, facing the Baie des Anges. The map shows three layers. Haut-de-Cagnes is built around the Château Grimaldi, and its lanes wind in tight curves to the top of the hill. Pierre-Auguste Renoir spent the last years of his life at Les Collettes, an estate with olive trees on a hillside in the town. The house is now a museum dedicated to him.
