Fujikawaguchiko spreads along the northern foot of Mount Fuji in Yamanashi Prefecture, and water shapes almost everything on its map. The town wraps around Lake Kawaguchi, the most accessible of the Fuji Five Lakes, and its territory extends west to the smaller lakes Sai, Shoji and part of Motosu. Roads follow the shorelines, bending with every inlet and small peninsula.
South of the lakes, the street network thins out quickly. Large areas are covered by lava-flow forest, including the Aokigahara woodland on old lava from Fuji, and the map turns into a quiet field broken only by a few roads. This contrast between busy lakeshore settlement and open wooded slope gives the town a very distinctive outline.
A Fujikawaguchiko map poster shows a place defined by one view: Mount Fuji reflected in still water. Photographers come from around the world for that image, especially at dawn. In map form, the reflection is replaced by geometry, with lake outlines, bridge crossings and hillside roads that record where the view was taken.
The long, irregular shoreline of Lake Kawaguchi forms the core of the map, with a bridge across its narrow middle and streets that follow nearly every curve of the water.
To the west, Lake Sai, Lake Shoji and part of Lake Motosu line up along Fuji's northern base, adding a row of separate water shapes across the wider map.
Between the western lakes and the mountain, the dense Aokigahara forest grows on old lava flows, leaving a large open area almost free of roads.

Aiheā Fujikawaguchiko
For many people, Fujikawaguchiko is where they first saw Mount Fuji clearly, often on a long-planned trip to Japan. A map of its lakes keeps that memory without repeating the familiar postcard view, and its outline is easy to recognise for anyone who has walked the shore.
Personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates line with the date of your visit, then choose from five styles: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. Blueprint works especially well with lake outlines. A free 900 px preview lets you check the layout before you buy.
