Gazipur lies immediately north of Dhaka, and on a map the two cities almost merge. The Turag River runs along the western side, and the major highways heading north from the capital pass straight through, lined with factories and dense housing. Much of the city's growth has followed these roads, so the built-up area stretches out in long corridors rather than around a single compact centre.
Gazipur is one of Bangladesh's main industrial areas, especially for garment manufacturing, and large factory compounds appear as bigger, simpler shapes among the smaller residential blocks. Between the corridors there are still patches of green, including the sal forest of Bhawal National Park, which shows up as a broad open area crossed by only a few thin tracks.
At the southern end, the Tongi area sits on the Turag, where the annual Bishwa Ijtema gathering takes place on the riverbank. A Gazipur map poster shows a city defined by its river, its roads and its industry, drawn with the same care as any capital, and that is exactly what makes it worth putting on a wall.
The river forms a winding western edge to the city, separating it from the lowlands beyond and giving the map a soft, curving line against the dense blocks.
The main roads north from Dhaka run through Gazipur in long, nearly straight lines, and the densest development gathers along them in continuous bands.
Remnants of sal forest create one of the few large open areas on the map, a quiet counterweight to the industrial parcels and housing around it.

Aiheā Gazipur
Gazipur is home to a large working population, many of whom moved there from other parts of Bangladesh. A map of the city is a practical way to mark where a new life started, or to keep the place in view after moving on.
You can personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates, adding a family name or a date that matters to you. Five styles are available, from Classic black & white to Blueprint, with six print sizes in every digital download and a free watermarked preview.
