Glendora lies on the eastern side of the San Gabriel Valley in Los Angeles County, right against the foot of the San Gabriel Mountains. It calls itself the Pride of the Foothills, and the map makes the reason obvious: the city's grid runs north until it hits a sharp wall of mountain terrain, where streets give way to canyons and trails.
In the south, Glendora is mostly a regular Southern California street grid, crossed by the Foothill Freeway and by the historic route of Route 66. Towards the north, streets start to curve with the slope, and the neighbourhoods near the mountains follow winding roads. Beyond them, canyons such as Big Dalton open into the national forest.
A Glendora map poster shows that contrast clearly. The flat valley grid in the lower half and the deeply folded mountain front in the upper half make a composition with a real sense of place. For residents who hike the foothills or grew up near the old highway, it is a fitting print.
The San Gabriel Mountains rise directly north of the city, and the abrupt change from regular streets to steep, empty canyon terrain is the map's defining line.
Historic Route 66 runs east to west through Glendora, a long straight axis that ties the city to the story of the old cross-country highway.
Interstate 210 crosses the southern part of the city, its broad curve cutting a bold diagonal through the grid of residential and commercial blocks.

Glendora residents live with the mountains as a daily backdrop. A map that shows the grid running into the foothills celebrates that setting and makes a considered gift for new homeowners or longtime locals.
