Guadalupe Island is a remote volcanic island belonging to Mexico, about 240 kilometres off the west coast of Baja California in the Pacific. It runs roughly north to south in a long, slender shape. Its spine is a high ridge of old volcanic peaks that drops steeply to the sea on nearly every side, leaving little flat ground and only a handful of landing places.
On a map the island is mostly outline and relief. The coast is sheer and only lightly indented, and a few tracks link small camps used by fishers, researchers and the navy. The rest is open slope. A Guadalupe Island map poster therefore reads as one bold silhouette against open water, with the scattered rocks off its southern tip as a quiet counterpoint.
The island is a protected biosphere reserve and is best known for its marine life. The clear waters around it are among the most studied places for great white sharks, and cage divers come each autumn. Its beaches are breeding grounds for the Guadalupe fur seal, a species once thought extinct. Feral goats that stripped much of the vegetation have since been removed.
A ridge of old volcanic summits runs the length of the island, so the land falls away steeply toward the coast on both the eastern and western sides.
Small islands and rocks lie off the southern end. They break up the open water below the main outline and mark where the underwater ridge continues.
The Baja California coast lies far outside the frame, so the island stands alone on the sheet, surrounded on every side by empty Pacific.

Divers who have spent a week in the cages off Guadalupe, marine biologists and anyone who follows sharks or seals will recognise this outline at once. It is a spare, graphic map that suits a study, a dive shop or a room with little else on the walls.
Add a title, a subtitle such as a trip date, and a coordinates line, then pick one of five styles: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. Blueprint suits the ocean subject especially well. HD files are $9, and you can check a free watermarked preview first.
