Hagere Maryam, today better known as Bule Hora, is a town in the Oromia region of southern Ethiopia. It lies in the highlands on the main road running south from Addis Ababa toward the Kenyan border. On a map, that road is the town's backbone, with most streets branching off it into neighbourhoods on the surrounding slopes.
The landscape around the town is hilly and green, with farmland and scattered settlements in the valleys.
