Kodamachō-kodamaminami is a district in the former town of Kodama, in northern Saitama Prefecture. Since a 2006 merger it has been part of Honjō city. It sits near the northwestern rim of the Kanto Plain, where flat farmland starts to rise toward the hills. On a map the area is low and open, with homes, small roads and farm plots fitted closely together.
The JR Hachikō Line runs through Kodama, and its straight track gives the area a clear structural line. Around it, the streets follow the older, informal logic of Japanese rural towns: lanes that bend around field boundaries, short dead ends, and small blocks between larger farm parcels. The Edo-period scholar Hanawa Hokiichi, who compiled the vast Gunsho Ruijū collection, was born in this part of Kodama.
A Kodamachō-kodamaminami map poster shows a fine, even texture rather than a dramatic plan, and that suits the minimalist style. The detail is in small things: the angle of a lane, the grain of the rice paddies, the way houses gather along a road. It is an understated print for someone who knows these streets well.
The railway cuts a clean straight line across the district. It is one of the few rigid elements on the sheet and an easy landmark for anyone who has ridden it.
Homes and farm plots interlock at a small scale, so the poster shows a finely grained mix of built-up and open land typical of the Saitama countryside.
To the west, the flat Kanto Plain begins to give way to rising ground, and the road network loosens toward the edges of the frame.

Neighbourhood-scale maps like this are usually kept for private reasons: a family home, a first job, a grandparent's town. Printed in clean black lines, the familiar lanes of Kodama become a small, calm object that fits a Japanese interior or a room far from Saitama.
Rename the poster as you like, add a subtitle such as a year or family name, and set the coordinates line. Choose Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand, and download 300 DPI PNG and print-ready PDF files for $9 in six sizes.
