Kushchyovskaya is a large rural settlement in the north of Krasnodar Krai, close to the border with Rostov Oblast. It was founded in the 1790s as one of the kuren settlements of the Black Sea Cossacks, and like other stanitsas of the region it was laid out on open steppe, with long straight streets meeting at regular intervals.
The Yeya River gives the plan its one irregular edge, looping across the plain with ponds and small reservoirs along its course. Everything else is measured and flat: wide blocks of houses with deep gardens, a railway line cutting through on its way between Rostov-on-Don and Krasnodar, and a major highway passing just outside the settlement.
Around the stanitsa, fields stretch in large rectangles toward the horizon, their boundaries marked by lines of trees. A Kushchyovskaya map poster turns this geometry into a clear graphic study, with the river's curves set against the grid and the empty farmland giving the settlement room to breathe.
Straight streets and long, regular blocks cover most of the settlement, a layout typical of Kuban stanitsas and one that reads especially well in black and white.
The river winds through the plain with ponds and dammed stretches along its course, adding the only soft, curving lines to an otherwise orderly plan.
The main line toward Rostov-on-Don crosses the settlement, a firm stroke that divides the grid and connects this small place with the wider south of Russia.

Aiheā Kushchyovskaya
Many families trace their story back to the Kuban stanitsas, and the plan of Kushchyovskaya, with its broad streets and river, is instantly recognisable to anyone raised there. The poster keeps that memory precise without being sentimental.
Add your own heading, a year or a short subtitle, and adjust the coordinates line. Choose among Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand, and either download the $9 HD file set in six print sizes or order a printed, optionally framed poster.
