Lordelo do Ouro is a parish in the west of Porto, now part of the combined parish of Lordelo do Ouro e Massarelos. It runs from the north bank of the Douro, close to where the river widens toward the Atlantic, up into residential streets inland. On a map the riverside road traces a gentle curve, and the neighbourhoods above mix old lanes with larger modern blocks.
The parish is home to the Serralves Foundation, with its contemporary art museum and extensive park, which appears on the map as a large green space among the streets. The Arrábida Bridge, a single concrete arch, crosses the Douro close by toward Vila Nova de Gaia, and the riverfront promenade leads west toward Foz and the sea.
A Lordelo do Ouro map poster offers a slice of Porto that is framed less often than the historic centre: the curve of the Douro, the bridge approach and the generous green of Serralves set against dense residential streets. It suits people who live in the west of the city, or visitors whose favourite Porto walks ran along the river toward the ocean.
The northern bank of the Douro forms the southern edge of the parish, a smooth curve of road and promenade that shapes the whole composition as the river opens toward the Atlantic.
The grounds of the Serralves Foundation create a large open area inside the street grid, its paths and gardens standing out clearly against the surrounding blocks of the parish.
The single arch of the Arrábida Bridge leaps across the Douro nearby, and its approach roads sweep through the area in broad curves that add movement to the map.

Aiheā Lordelo do Ouro
