Massaguet lies in the Hadjer-Lamis region of Chad, on the flat Sahelian plain north of the capital, N'Djamena. It sits on the road leading north from the capital, and on a map it appears as a compact cluster of streets and compounds set against open land. No river or coastline shapes the town.
