Ozorków lies in the flat country of central Poland, a short distance north of Łódź, on the Bzura River. In the early nineteenth century it was developed as a centre for cloth-making, and new streets were laid out for the weavers who settled here. That history is still visible on the map, where regular streets sit alongside the older, less orderly core.
An Ozorków map poster shows a town shaped by its river. The Bzura winds through the area with its narrow floodplain, and the main streets run roughly parallel and perpendicular to it, forming a loose grid. Former mill and factory sites sit close to the water, from the era when rivers powered industry.
Around the town, fields and woodland spread across the gentle plain, crossed by roads toward Łęczyca, Zgierz and Łódź. In black and white, the river's meandering line, the geometric streets and the open countryside combine into a balanced, readable composition. It is a small portrait of the industrial history of the Łódź region.
The river winds through the town and its surroundings. It is drawn as a soft, meandering line that contrasts with the straight streets and gives the map its natural focus.
Regular streets laid out for the cloth-making settlement form an ordered pattern of rectangular blocks, a clear trace of the town's industrial expansion in the nineteenth century.
Main roads lead south toward Zgierz and Łódź and west toward Łęczyca, connecting Ozorków to the wider textile region it was once part of.
