The highway spine
The BR-116 runs straight through the town, the heaviest line on the map. Most of the settlement lines up along it, so the town reads as a long, directional shape.

Padre Paraíso sits in the hilly interior of north-eastern Minas Gerais, where the land folds into rounded ridges and narrow valleys. From above, the town reads as a linear settlement. Its streets gather along the main road and the low ground beside it, then break into short, steep lanes where houses climb the slopes. At the edges the grid thins out quickly into pasture and scrub.
The main road through town is the BR-116, the long Rio–Bahia highway that crosses eastern Brazil from north to south. It gives the map a strong spine. A single confident line runs through the composition, and the smaller streets hang off it like branches. The surrounding region is known for gemstone mining, and the hills around the town are part of that mineral country.
A Padre Paraíso map poster keeps the geometry and leaves the rest out. The highway, the tight clusters of blocks and the winding lanes that follow the contours become a study in line weight and spacing. Up close the hillside streets look fine and intricate. From across a room, the highway stands out and the town gathers around it.
The BR-116 runs straight through the town, the heaviest line on the map. Most of the settlement lines up along it, so the town reads as a long, directional shape.
Away from the main road, the streets bend to fit the hillsides. They curve and switch back instead of forming a grid, which gives the edges of the map an organic, hand-drawn quality.
The built area stops sharply where the slopes begin. Past that line the map opens into empty space, and the compact core stands out clearly against the countryside.

Aiheā Padre Paraíso
Some people hang this map because they grew up here, and others because the family came from this corner of Minas Gerais. For many it marks a stop on the long Rio–Bahia road. The poster turns a place most people only drive through into something worth a closer look.
You can change the title, subtitle and coordinates line to add a family name or a date that matters. There are five styles: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand. The digital HD files cost $9, and printed posters are shipped from partners in more than 30 countries.
