Streets on a slope
The town's streets follow the tilt of the land from the uplands toward the ocean. The result is a regular pattern of long parallel lines, crossed by shorter connecting streets.

San Isidro is a town in the south of Tenerife, in the municipality of Granadilla de Abona. It lies on the gently falling land between the volcanic uplands and the Atlantic. On a map, it reads as a fairly regular grid laid over sloping ground, with streets running along the contours and others dropping straight downhill toward the sea.
The main island motorway runs past the town, forming a strong, continuous line that sets the edge of the built-up area. Around it, the landscape is open and arid, with scattered roads and plots instead of dense green cover. As a result, the town's rectangular blocks stand out clearly against the emptier ground.
A San Isidro map poster captures the everyday geometry of a working Canarian town rather than a resort strip. The grid, the arterial roads and the way the streets thin out at the edges make a clean, balanced composition. The area has grown quickly alongside southern Tenerife's airport and tourism economy, and the map shows that expansion in the newer blocks at its margins.
The town's streets follow the tilt of the land from the uplands toward the ocean. The result is a regular pattern of long parallel lines, crossed by shorter connecting streets.
The motorway along the southern coast of Tenerife passes close to town. On the poster, it appears as one bold, continuous stroke that anchors the whole layout.
Dry, lightly built land surrounds the town. On the map, the open space around the edges gives the dense centre room to breathe and shows how the town sits in its landscape.

This map suits anyone who lives in southern Tenerife, grew up there, or spent long winters on the island and wants something more personal than a beach photograph. The quiet grid works well in a hallway, office or kitchen.
