Saraqib lies in north-western Syria, in the Idlib governorate, on a wide agricultural plain. Its importance comes largely from its position: it sits near the junction of the M4 and M5 highways, the main routes linking Aleppo with Latakia on the coast and with Hama, Homs and Damascus to the south.
From above, these highways cross the landscape in long, confident lines, with the town gathered beside them. A Saraqib map poster shows the compact settlement set within a pattern of fields and rural roads, and the strategic arteries that have shaped its role in the region for decades.
The town was heavily affected by the Syrian civil war, and its strategic position made it contested several times. The map does not show that history directly, but it does show why the location mattered. In black and white, the plan becomes a simple and powerful image: a small town where two of the country's most important roads meet.
The M4 and M5 highways meet near the town, their long straight lines crossing the plain and connecting Saraqib to Aleppo, the coast and the south.
The built-up area is dense and relatively small, clustered close to the main routes rather than spread thinly across the surrounding land.
Flat farmland extends in every direction, divided by field boundaries and minor roads that give the map a fine, open texture around the town.

Aiheā Saraqib
For Syrians abroad and families who come from Idlib, Saraqib may be a place they cannot easily return to. A map preserves its streets and position on the plain as a quiet, lasting record of home.
The title and subtitle can be written in Arabic or English, with a family name or a year. Classic black and white suits the strong road lines, while Sand echoes the colours of the open plain.
