Shahe is an urban area of Wanzhou, a district of the Chongqing municipality in the Three Gorges region of the Yangtze. The map shows a city fitted into steep terrain. Streets run along the riverbank and then zigzag up the hillside, with dense blocks built wherever the slope allows.
