Staroshcherbinovskaya is a stanitsa in the north of Krasnodar Krai, not far from the eastern shore of the Sea of Azov. Like many settlements founded by Black Sea Cossacks in the late eighteenth century, it was planned on a broad rectilinear grid. From above, its streets form long parallel lines, broken only by the river and by the fields that press in on every side.
The Yeya River runs past the village, widening in places into reed-fringed stretches and ponds whose soft, organic shapes break the regular plan. On a Staroshcherbinovskaya map poster, this contrast between the ruled streets and the winding water becomes the main composition. The outlying farmland is drawn as large, clean rectangles.
The stanitsa is the administrative centre of the Shcherbinovsky District, an agricultural area of grain and sunflower fields. Its name recalls the Shcherbinovsky kuren, one of the original Cossack units that settled the Kuban. The map keeps this history visible in its structure: wide yards, generous plots and streets that run straight to the horizon.
Streets follow the long rectangular pattern typical of Kuban stanitsas. The deep residential blocks give the poster an even, almost textile rhythm.
The river curls along the settlement, and its bends and ponds are the only irregular lines in the composition. They give the flat landscape a natural focal point.
Beyond the last houses, the map turns to wide field rectangles and shelterbelts. This working farmland has defined northern Kuban since the stanitsa was founded.

Aiheā Staroshcherbinovskaya
Families from the Kuban often keep strong ties to their home stanitsa, even after moving to Krasnodar, Rostov or further away. A print of Staroshcherbinovskaya is a simple reminder of the streets where grandparents lived and the river where summers were spent.
Add a family name in the title and a year in the subtitle, and keep or edit the coordinates line. Five styles are available: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand. Printed posters ship from partners in more than 30 countries, or you can download the files and print them yourself.
