Farmland surrounds the town on all sides. With few natural barriers, the urban area has grown in an outline shaped mainly by roads rather than by hills or rivers.

Tadjenanet lies in the south of Mila Province, on the high plateau that stretches across eastern Algeria between the Tell mountains and the steppe. The land around it is broad and fairly level and is mostly given over to cereal fields. The town spreads outward with little to hold it back apart from the roads that run through it.
The town sits near the main east–west route linking Sétif and Constantine, and in the region it is known as a trading centre, particularly for its large livestock market. On a map, that role shows in the way streets gather around the principal roads and then extend into newer, more regular neighbourhoods at the edges.
A Tadjenanet map poster presents the town as a compact mesh of streets set in open country. The plateau around it becomes calm white space, broken only by the straight lines of roads heading toward neighbouring towns. It is a spare, graphic image of a place defined by its crossroads position and the farmland that surrounds it.
Farmland surrounds the town on all sides. With few natural barriers, the urban area has grown in an outline shaped mainly by roads rather than by hills or rivers.
Major roads pass through or close to Tadjenanet. Their straight lines anchor the street pattern and visually connect the town to the wider region between Sétif and Constantine.
Tadjenanet is known in eastern Algeria for its markets, especially livestock trading. The commercial streets around the centre form the busiest-looking part of the map.
