Taman Melawati is a residential township on the northeastern edge of the Kuala Lumpur area, in Selangor. From above, its streets curve and loop in the style of a planned suburb. Rows of terraced houses follow the contours, and the green slopes of the Titiwangsa range rise immediately behind them.
The Middle Ring Road 2 curves past the township and ties it to the wider city. Zoo Negara, Malaysia's national zoo, is a short distance away and occupies a large green patch on the map. Beyond it, the forested hills around the Klang Gates area complete the frame.
