Tuljāpur lies in the Dharashiv district of Maharashtra, on the uplands of the Balaghat range. The town is known across the state for the Tulja Bhavani temple, one of the most revered shrines of the goddess in Maharashtra, and the pattern of its streets reflects centuries of pilgrims arriving from every direction.
On a map, the old core is compact and irregular, with narrow lanes converging on the temple precinct, which sits lower than much of the surrounding town. Beyond that core, newer roads stretch out along the ridges, and the open, rolling plateau takes over within a short distance.
The Tulja Bhavani temple is closely associated with Chhatrapati Shivaji, for whom the goddess was the family deity. A Tuljāpur map poster captures that combination of devotion and terrain: a dense, inward-looking centre surrounded by the broad, quiet contours of the Deccan uplands.
The Tulja Bhavani temple forms the focal point of the town, and the lanes around it bend and narrow as they approach, giving the centre a distinctly gathered, converging shape.
The town sits on high, undulating ground, and roads follow the lie of the land rather than a grid, so the map carries the gentle curves of the plateau.
Several approach roads lead into Tuljāpur from surrounding towns, radiating outward from the centre and linking this small hill town with the wider region of Marathwada.

Aiheā Tuljāpur
Tuljāpur means a great deal to families across Maharashtra who return to the temple generation after generation. A map of the town is a calm way to mark that connection, whether it reflects a pilgrimage, a wedding blessing or simply where someone grew up.
