Ye is a town in the south of Myanmar's Mon State, on the long, narrow coastal strip between the Tenasserim hills and the Andaman Sea. It sits on the Ye River a short distance inland from the coast, and the river's bends and the lowland around it define the town's shape on the map.
The centre is laid out in a fairly regular pattern of streets close to the river, while the edges fray into gardens, plantations and village lanes. The railway and the main road running along the coast pass through the area, linking the town with Mawlamyine to the north and Dawei to the south.
