Āmūr, usually written Armoor, is a town in the Nizamabad district of Telangana, on the Deccan plateau. From above, it is a dense cluster of streets around its market area, with a highway corridor passing nearby and farm roads spreading out into the fields. Granite outcrops and low rocky hills break up the flat land.
The surrounding region is agricultural, and Nizamabad district is known for growing turmeric.
