Annigeri lies in Dharwad district, on the flat, dark-soiled plains that stretch between Hubballi and Gadag. The landscape around it is open farmland, and from above the town appears as a compact, roughly rounded settlement with roads running out across the fields in several directions. There are no hills or coastlines to shape it, so the streets set the whole character of the map.
The town has a long past. Its Amriteshwara temple, built in stone during the Western Chalukya period, is regarded as a notable early example of that style, and Annigeri is traditionally linked with the Kannada poet Adikavi Pampa. The older lanes around the temple are narrow and irregular, while later streets straighten out toward the main road.
An Annigeri map poster captures that contrast between old core and open plain in simple line work. It suits people with family ties to north Karnataka, readers of Kannada literature, and anyone drawn to the understated towns of the Deccan, where much of the interest lies in the pattern of streets rather than in any skyline.
The old centre around the Amriteshwara temple forms a dense cluster of small lanes, the most intricate part of the sheet and the historical heart of the town.
Roads toward Hubballi, Gadag and neighbouring villages leave the town in long lines, dividing the surrounding plain into large, open segments.
Beyond the last houses, the map empties into wide fields crossed only by occasional tracks, giving the town a clear, island-like outline on the page.

A map of Annigeri speaks to people for whom the town is an origin rather than a destination: families who moved to Bengaluru, Pune or abroad, and still describe home by its temple and its roads.
