Atani sits on the eastern bank of the Niger River in Anambra State, downstream from Onitsha. On a map the river is what you notice first: a wide band of water running along the town's western edge, with channels, sandbanks and wetland spreading out around it. The built-up area follows the bank rather than moving away from it, the way river towns tend to when the water has long been part of daily life.
Away from the river the pattern gets looser. Roads head inland across the Ogbaru lowlands and link Atani to Onitsha and nearby communities, and between them the street network turns into irregular clusters of lanes and compounds. Much of the surrounding land is floodplain that the Niger covers in high-water seasons, so on paper the town has a clear edge where settled ground gives way to open, low-lying country.
An Atani map poster shows this relationship between a town and the river it grew up beside. With colour taken away, the Niger becomes a large, calm shape against the finer lines of streets, and the roads running inland read as the town's links to the rest of Anambra. The result is a quiet, legible picture of a place set by water, where the riverbank shapes everything else on the sheet.
The Niger River runs along Atani's western side, broad enough to take up a large share of the frame and give the composition a strong, simple edge.
Low-lying ground across the Ogbaru area holds creeks, wetland and seasonal water, so the land around the town shows as open space broken by winding channels.
Main roads leave the riverside and head east and north towards Onitsha and neighbouring towns, framing the looser grid of residential lanes between them.

Ko e hā ʻa Atani
For people from Atani or the wider Ogbaru area, this map is a way to keep the riverbank and the familiar roads close, wherever they live now. It also suits anyone drawn to the Niger, whose outline on a black-and-white poster is striking in its own right.
You can personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates line to mark a family home, a birthplace or a date that matters, then choose Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. A free 900 px preview lets you check the layout before ordering the $9 HD files or a printed poster.
