Beypazarı lies west of Ankara, in hilly country where a small river valley opens up between steep slopes. The historic town climbs one side of the valley. On the map, its narrow, winding streets follow the contours, with short lanes linking the terraces. The more regular modern districts sit on flatter ground, and orchards and gardens fill the valley floor.
