Bordon lies in east Hampshire, near the borders of Surrey and West Sussex. For more than a century it was defined by the army. Bordon Camp was a major garrison, and much of the town's layout was shaped by barracks, training ground and military housing. After the army left in the 2010s, the area became part of Whitehill and Bordon, one of England's larger regeneration projects.
On a map, that history shows in the mix of plans. Straight former military roads sit beside the curving streets of newer housing estates. Around the town, large blank areas of heathland, pine plantation and former training ground make up the landscape, with the South Downs National Park not far to the south.
A Bordon map poster records a town in transition: its garrison skeleton, its new neighbourhoods and the wide open heaths that have always surrounded it. For families with army connections, it is a map with a long memory.
Straight roads and regular blocks mark the former military camp, the backbone around which the rest of the town grew over a century.
Large stretches of heathland and pine plantation surround the town and appear on the poster as wide, quiet spaces between the roads.
Recent housing adds curving streets and fresh blocks to former army land, a visible sign of the town's redevelopment.

Bordon holds a special place for service families posted there over many decades and for the people now building a new town on the same ground. A map honours both stories.
Set your own title, subtitle and coordinates line, such as a regiment, a posting year or a new home, and choose Classic black and white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. Printed posters come matte, with an optional wooden frame.
