Bou Izakarn lies in southern Morocco, in the Guelmim-Oued Noun region, at the foot of the western Anti-Atlas. On the map, it is first of all a meeting point: main roads come in from the north, the south and the interior, and the town has grown around where they cross.
The land around it is dry and stony, with bare ridges nearby and dry riverbeds that carry water only after rain. Older earthen settlements and palm plantations are found in the area, and the modern town extends along the roads in lower, more regular blocks.
A Bou Izakarn map poster captures the clean geometry of a southern crossroads town: roads spreading out across empty ground, a compact centre where they meet, and a lot of open space around it. The result is minimal and quite striking.
Main routes meet in the town. Their straight lines crossing open land are the strongest feature in the composition.
Bare ridges rise nearby. On the map they bend the roads and add texture to an otherwise open landscape.
Seasonal watercourses wind across the plain, forming faint branching lines that show where water flows after rain.

Ko e hā ʻa Bou Izakarn
For families from the south of Morocco and for travellers who have crossed this junction, Bou Izakarn marks a clear point on the way into the Sahara. A map poster keeps that place in a simple, spare form.
Add a name, a date or the coordinates, and choose from Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand. Sand fits the desert setting naturally.
