Bukit Tambun lies on the Penang mainland, in the southern part of Seberang Perai, facing the channel that separates the mainland from Penang Island. From above, the map is shaped by water. A river estuary cuts through the area, mangrove banks line the channels, and the coastline bends along the strait.
The area is best known across Penang for its seafood restaurants, many of which sit near the water. Traditional fishing villages and jetties are still part of the landscape. Just to the west, the large reclaimed land and bridge connections of the Batu Kawan area show how quickly the surrounding coast is changing.
A Bukit Tambun map poster brings together river, mangrove and coast. Roads and settlements follow the higher ground, while channels and the estuary create broad, irregular shapes around them. The contrast between a fishing village's fine structure and the open water gives the print strength and clarity.
A river reaches the sea here through a wide estuary. Its branching channels and soft banks are the most striking natural feature on the map.
Mangroves line the river banks and parts of the coast. On the map they create an irregular, organic transition between land and water.
Houses, jetties and restaurants cluster close to the water. Their small, dense pattern sits in sharp contrast with the open surfaces of river and sea.

Ko e hā ʻa Bukit Tambun
Many Penang families have their own memories of long seafood dinners by the water in Bukit Tambun. A map of this stretch of coast makes those evenings tangible and is a warm gift for someone who grew up here or has moved away.
You can personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates line. Choose Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand, and Blueprint works especially well with the estuary. Get the HD files for $9 or order a printed poster on matte paper with an optional wooden frame.
