Carcar lies on the eastern coast of southern Cebu, south of Cebu City. From above, the town centre is organised around a rotunda where main roads meet, with the church and plaza on higher ground nearby. Streets extend toward the coast and along the highway that runs north and south through the island.
Carcar is known as a heritage city for its Spanish-era church, dedicated to Saint Catherine of Alexandria, and for its old ancestral houses. It is also known in the Philippines for its shoemaking and for chicharon, a local food specialty.
A Carcar map poster shows a town that combines an older core with newer development along the highway. The coastline to the east gives the composition a clean edge, and the roads radiating from the rotunda form a recognisable shape at the centre.
A roundabout at the heart of town gathers the main roads together, the clearest single point in the map's street pattern.
The historic church and its plaza sit on raised ground near the centre, an open space among the denser surrounding streets.
The shoreline runs along the eastern edge, where the streets end at the water and the map opens to the sea.

Ko e hā ʻa Carcar
Carcar has a strong sense of place, and many Cebuanos have family ties there. A map of its rotunda, church and coast is a gift that feels personal without being sentimental.
