Cottage Lake is a semi-rural community in King County, Washington, east of Woodinville. Its map looks nothing like a typical suburb. Streets curve and dead-end, and property lines are large enough that the road network looks sparse. Much of the space between houses is forest, pasture or wetland.
The community takes its name from a small lake that sits within it, surrounded by homes and a public park. Bear Creek runs through the area and is known as salmon habitat, and the county has worked to protect much of its corridor.
