El Aïoun, also known as El Aïoun Sidi Mellouk, lies in Morocco's Oriental region, on the route between Oujda and Taourirt. The land around it is broad and open, with low hills on the horizon, and the town sits on the main east-west transport corridor.
The national road and the railway line both pass through the area, forming long, nearly parallel lines across the map. The town's streets branch from this corridor, with an older core of close-set blocks and newer districts arranged in more regular grids around it.
Farmland and open steppe surround the town, and the roads leading out of it are straight and few. An El Aïoun map poster shows a compact settlement defined by its place on the road, a clear composition of a small town and the long lines passing through it.
The main road and railway run across the region between Oujda and Taourirt, forming the strongest lines on the map.
The older part of town has closely packed blocks and narrow streets, a denser texture at the heart of the composition.
Wide farmland and steppe surround the town on all sides, leaving white space that makes the street pattern stand out.

Ko e hā ʻa El Aïoun
Many families from El Aïoun now live in Oujda, Casablanca or in Europe, and a map of the town is a simple way to keep it close. Add the town name in Latin or Arabic script, a family name, or a date to the title.
Sand fits the landscape of eastern Morocco, and Classic black and white keeps the lines crisp. Noir, Paper and Blueprint are also available, as digital files or printed posters.
