Fasta Åland is the main island of the Åland archipelago, the autonomous, Swedish-speaking region of Finland between Sweden and the Finnish mainland. Its coastline is extremely broken, full of long bays, narrow sounds and peninsulas left by the retreat of the ice. From above the land and water seem to interlock.
