Frederickson is an unincorporated community in Pierce County, Washington, on the flat upland between Puyallup and Spanaway. Its map follows the region's old survey grid. Long roads run true north–south and east–west, and newer housing tracts fill the squares between them. Stands of conifers and small wetlands break up the pattern, so the grid never looks completely filled in.
The area is known for industry as much as housing. Boeing runs a large fabrication site here, and wide plant and warehouse footprints sit beside residential loops and cul-de-sacs. On a map, big simple rectangles sit next to the fine, curling lines of subdivisions, with a few arterial roads leading toward Tacoma and the foothills holding it all together.
A Frederickson map poster suits anyone who knows this part of Pierce County through its commute, its shift changes or the view of Mount Rainier on a clear morning. With a wide frame, the sheet shows the lowland grid giving way to ravines and creek channels. It is a quiet portrait of a place that grew between farmland, industry and the Cascades.
Main roads follow the survey lines laid across the Puget Sound lowland. They form long straight axes that divide the area into large, easy-to-read blocks.
Boeing's fabrication plant and nearby industrial sites appear as wide, clean rectangles. They give the map strong graphic weight against the housing around them.
Patches of forest, wetland and creek corridors remain between developments. They leave soft blank areas that give the street pattern room on a black and white print.

Many people came here for work at the plants or at the military base nearby, and a map is a neat way to mark that chapter. Put the year you arrived in the subtitle, or set the coordinates line to your own street corner.
