Hashtgerd is in Alborz Province, west of Karaj, where the southern slopes of the Alborz mountains meet the plain. From above, the northern edge of the map rises into folded foothills, and the town spreads out on the gentler ground below. Main roads run roughly east to west, parallel to the mountain front.
Near the older town, Iran built Hashtgerd New Town, a planned settlement meant to take pressure off the Tehran and Karaj region. As a result the map has two different kinds of street pattern: the organic lanes of the original town and the more regular layout of the planned district.
A Hashtgerd map poster sets the difference between the two against the backdrop of the mountains. The shift from irregular to planned streets, and from plain to foothill, gives the print variety without clutter. It is a good choice for anyone who knows the road west from Tehran.
The mountains rise along the north side of the map, and their slopes give the print a strong upper edge.
Hashtgerd New Town has a regular, designed street layout that contrasts with the older settlement.
Major roads and rail run along the foot of the mountains and connect the town to Karaj and Tehran.

Ko e hā ʻa Hashtgerd
Many people moved to Hashtgerd to find space outside Tehran, and for them it is where a new chapter began. A map of the town marks that decision, a first home, or simply the view of the Alborz in the morning.
You can edit the title, subtitle and coordinates line, and choose from Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand. HD files cost $9 in six sizes, and printed posters are also available.
