Ibicaraí lies inland in southern Bahia, in the hilly region long associated with cocoa farming. From above, the town is a compact knot of streets laid along a valley, with houses spreading onto the lower slopes. The surrounding land is broken into ridges and folds, and roads twist to follow them rather than cutting straight across.
The street pattern is irregular and shaped by the ground, with a main road carrying traffic through town and smaller lanes branching up the hillsides. Streams and green corridors cross the built-up area, and farmland and tree cover close in quickly at the edges. On a detailed map, the contour of the valley is visible in the streets alone.
The Ibicaraí map poster shows a town that has grown with the landscape, not against it. It belongs to the same cocoa region as nearby Itabuna and Ilhéus, where plantations shaped the economy and culture of southern Bahia for generations. In a single print, the valley town and its winding roads become a clean, quiet composition.
The town sits low among surrounding hills, and its outline follows the valley floor instead of spreading evenly in every direction.
Roads leaving town bend with the terrain, drawing soft curves into the print that echo the rolling country around it.
Green farmland and tree cover surround the town, part of the southern Bahia region long known for its cocoa plantations.
