Igaraçu do Tietê sits on the Tietê River in the interior of São Paulo state, directly across the water from Barra Bonita. From above, the river is the main feature. It runs as a broad band of open water, held back upstream by the Barra Bonita dam, and the town's streets stop at its bank in a tidy grid that thins quickly into cultivated land.
The Tietê here is part of the Tietê–Paraná waterway, and the lock at the Barra Bonita dam lets barges and tour boats pass between river levels. On a map this shows up as a sharp break in the waterline where the reservoir narrows back into a river channel. Bridges tie Igaraçu to its neighbour, so the two towns read as one settlement split by water.
Beyond the built-up area, the land opens into the large regular fields of the sugarcane belt that covers much of this part of the state, crossed by straight rural roads and the occasional stream. An Igaraçu do Tietê map poster captures that contrast: a small, orderly street pattern pressed against a wide sheet of water, with farmland stretching out on every other side.
A wide band of water along the town's edge dominates the composition. It is broad enough to read as a lake in places before it narrows again near the dam.
Bridges link Igaraçu do Tietê with Barra Bonita on the opposite bank. The pair form a twin-town layout, with the river as the axis between them.
The town's regular blocks end abruptly, giving way to large cultivated fields and straight rural roads, a clean edge that works well in black and white.

Ko e hā ʻa Igaraçu do Tietê
For people from Igaraçu do Tietê, the river is where the town starts, and a map shows that better than any photograph. It makes a quiet reminder of home, or of summers spent near the water, and it fits a hallway or a study without trying too hard.
You can set your own title, subtitle and coordinates line, adding a family name or a date, and pick one of five styles: Classic black and white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. The digital HD files cost $9, and printed posters ship from partners in more than 30 countries.
