Jarinu sits in the hills of eastern São Paulo state, between the larger cities of Jundiaí and Atibaia and within reach of the capital. Its map is shaped by rolling terrain. The small urban centre is a compact cluster of streets, while the rest of the municipality is laced with winding roads that follow ridges and valleys through green, open land.
Much of the area is made up of chácaras, small country properties and weekend retreats, alongside farms and patches of woodland. On paper this produces a distinctive texture of looping roads and private lanes with generous gaps between them. A Jarinu map poster shows that dispersed, semi-rural pattern, quite unlike the dense grids of nearby cities.
Streams and small ponds in the valleys add organic shapes to the composition, and in black and white they sit comfortably among the curving roads. It is a calm, spacious map, fitting for a place many people associate with slower weekends, fresh air and unhurried time spent well outside the city.
Jarinu's urban core is small and concentrated: a short grid of streets around its central square. It stands out as the densest area on the map.
Winding roads spread across the municipality, serving farms and weekend properties. They form a loose, organic network that gives the poster its character.
Low ground between the hills holds streams and small ponds. On the map they are soft, irregular shapes that break up the pattern of the roads.

Ko e hā ʻa Jarinu
Jarinu often holds memories of family weekends, holidays at a country house or a move out of the city in search of space. A map of its winding lanes makes a gentle, personal reminder of that time.
