Kalodzishchy is a town in Minsk region, just beyond the eastern edge of the Belarusian capital. It developed as a satellite settlement, and on a map it shows two layers: older streets of detached houses with gardens, and newer areas of apartment blocks and planned roads that have appeared as Minsk expanded outward. Forest and fields frame the town on several sides.
The main road from Minsk passes through Kalodzishchy and forms its spine. Smaller streets branch from it in blocks, some regular, some following older property lines. At the edges, construction and new streets push into open land, so the town’s outline keeps changing. Patches of woodland remain between the built-up areas and give the map soft, empty spaces.
